Data Scientist

Benjamin Levy

Hey there! I'm Ben. Let me tell you about myself. I'm a data scientist who likes to build things with data that are fun to use, insightful, and make people want to learn more. I recently completed my Master's of Data Science at Harvard University, based in the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Since February 2021, I've been at QuantumBlack, part of McKinsey & Co., in Boston, MA, where I've been learning as much as possible as a Data Science Fellow.

Services

What I do

Statistical analysis

Working with complex datasets to extract interesting insights. Bayesian modelling for the win!

Data visualization

Skilled in D3.js and well-versed in best practices for creative, effective, and understandable data visualization.

Machine learning

I use all the common frameworks, although PyTorch and Huggingface are my favourites. Natural language processing (NLP) is a specialty.

Writing and speaking

In my spare time I like to write articles on statistics and probability in everyday life. I also love public speaking, both doing it myself and coaching others.
